If ever there were an example of talking telephone numbers,
it must be this: If Paris Saint-Germain succeed in signing Neymar from
Barcelona, it will cost them almost £500 million in total, according to the
Mirror.
But even if that mind-bending move comes off, it wouldn't be
the end of PSG's spending -- Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez would remain a
summer transfer target.
The Mirror says PSG have agreed to meet Neymar's £196
million buyout clause, with the club "determined to land one of the top
three stars on the planet: Lionel Messi, Ronaldo or Neymar."
Sanchez, though, is still firmly in their sights, despite
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claiming PSG are pursuing Neymar because they
know Sanchez is not available.
Last week, a source told ESPN FC that Sanchez and his
representatives were in Paris to meet PSG sporting director Antero Henrique,
with other reports suggesting a bid of £35m could soon follow.
